Who here loves puppies? I DO!!!! ;) One of my clients recently came over for a cake smash (coming soon), and brought some little puppies for me to take a quick pic of! :) I LOVE puppies, and so does my son, who happened to be home, and now wants a puppy, or as he called it “an edgar baby.” :) Maybe someday we will get a puppy, but for now, I will just enjoy the ones that come to visit.

Shaun and Dolly – Boise Family photographer

I love the mountains. I love to travel. I love hanging out with awesome people. I love Dogs. This photo shoot had all of that! Meet Dolly, Shaun, Panda, and Shelly.

I first met Shaun and Dolly at a wedding where they were bridesmaids and groomsmen. Later they came in to Kyoto with the Bride and groom form that wedding, who also happen to be my friends (hi Cassie and KJ!) When Dolly mentioned she wanted to get family photos by me I was ecstatic…these two are so cute together…they are made for each other! :)

I love seeing couples that have been married for a wile and through crazy things in life still in love! :) These two have what it takes to last a life time!

Oh….I forgot to mention that these photos were taken in the beautiful Cascade Idaho, where Shaun and Dolly are making a new home for themselves. Now, Here is a slideshow with all the photos from their session.

Betty – a dog that will remain in our hearts

I LOVE dogs. I especially love rottweilers. In fact when I was on the market for a dog I was trying to find a rott mixed with a border collie or a lab, instead I ended up with my best friend a lab/border collie. So, when I got the call to come take photos of Betty I had to say yes! I could not imagine havine to face the desision to keep my dog alive, or put him down. You see, betty was diagnosed with bone cancer and the cancer had spread to her lungs. As I type this Betty is being put to sleep. The owners wanted me to take these photos so they could remember betty for the great dog she was, loving and full of life!

Toward the end of her life, Betty could only walk on 3 lags, but she did not let that slow her down. Betty, I know you will be missed.

Another oplove session

For those of you who dont know, Oplove is an organization that provides soldiers photography. I, and other oplove photographers, take photos of soldiers and or their families right before they are deployed, or while they are deployed. THen I make a little book for the soldiers with the photos in them and send it to them while they are overseas. I can also do homecoming photos as well! :)

Recently I got to meet a cool soldier and his wife and two lovable dogs!

As a boise photographer, I love working with pets! They always add so much character to a family portrait! :) I love that the Pit bull could not take his eyes of of mom and dad, so we got this:

Sometimes in life you get a little tangled! :)

How could someone think this dog would be vicious with eyes like this? I love pit bulls, they sometimes get a bad wrap, but I believe if they are in a loving home they are GREAT dogs! ;) II wanted to take some of just the wife so the soldier could remember her during his time away…

When I saw that this week over at I heart faces was for dogs, I had to enter. Edgar, my dog is my second son. andy change I get to show him off is a good chance to me! ;) Edgar’s favorite thing to do (besides stealing food from eman) is to swim in the river. He is VERY good at it and we really ant to get him in to dock diving. HE3 would follow the sticks to the other side of the river if thats what it took to bring them back! He has also pulled out full trees form the river. Retrieving sticks from the river is one of his passions in life.

I have always thought that Edgar would be an excellent TV dog, because he is VERY well behaved, and with just a little bit of food or a ball I could get him to look any where I want him too…plus he is gorgeous! I mean look at his fur…it has a very pretty natural shine to it. He is also an excelent Best friend to Elijah man! ;)

Georgia – a very special dog!

As a Boise pet photographer, I get to meet some awesome pets. This Sunday I got to hang out with Georgia and her awesome owners Meagan and Jason. Meagan and I use to work together at the YMCA back when I was in college. I even lived with her for a summer! Those were fun times. Fast-forward more years than I care to admit and I get to reconnect with her as I took these photos.

When Meagan first called me to see if I could take photos, she got my voicemail. She left me a message that made me want to cry! Any of you that are dog people understand that your dog becomes so much more than your pet, they are a part of your family, your child! So when you receive news like this it is really hard! Georgia recently had a bone biopsy done. they are pretty sure that she has cancer, and is most likely going to lose her leg. They wanted to have some photos taken of her so they could remember her as a happy healthy pup!

Like all dogs, sometimes Georgia needs to scratch! :)

We also got some family shots in. There is a reason the Boise Train Depot is such a popular place to take family photographs. There is a lot of cool textures and backgrounds that one could use while shooting there.

Although Georgia might not think so, Its not always all about her! So, we got some shots of just Meagan and Jason too! :)

See that Iron bridge in the background? Georgia is sitting there waiting patiently for her parents to be done and for it to be her turn again!

She is such a good doggie. Every time I do a pet photography shoot I will bring treats that are appropriate for that pet. Georgia learned that very quickly and by the end of the shoot she was my new Best Friend! She knew what pocket the treats were in and new that she would get one if I took a good picture! Soon she started asking for them! ;)

Meagan and Jason~ thanks for letting me take your photos and sharing with you during this difficult time! after meeting Georgia I really believe that she is a fighter and a tough dog that will be happy to love you, or anyone else she sees, wether she is on 3 legs of 4! She has a great personality and great parents! :)

Edgar!

For those of you who dont know…I LOVE my DOG! his name is Edgar and he is a lab border collie mix. He is our oldest son, and a very important member of your family. Elijah, my two year old, would not know what to do with out him! Edgar is the “life of the Party” personality. Though when new people are not around to try to entertain, he spends his days trying to take naps in between adventures with Elijah. He loves to bark at squirrels and alerts us anytime anything is remotely near our land. He is an over all great dog and very patient with Elijah! I love my DOG!!!!! so with out further adue…here is Edgar’s newest portrait.

Roxy – Boise Pet Photographer

I grew up around animals. All kinds. From the tigers at Zoo Montana, to horses, to cats and dogs, to ferrets, I’ve seen them all. I love them all too! In fact, a lot of the people in my life, probably thought I would grow up to work with animals, either as a veterinarian or a zoologist. Now, as a Boise pet photographer, I am working with animals! I love to photograph pets, as well as their human friends. I understand how important our pets are in our lives. I could not imagine my house without Edgar (our Lab mix)!

Who does not love puppies? This little girl was full of energy and fun to photograph! When I arrived at the Young’s house, Roxy eagerly greeted me with kisses galore, and tried to get a ride on my shoulders! I was in love, but how could you not be with this face looking at you?

Most of the time she was a great model, but sometimes she tried to hide in the grass. :)

Then mommy turned on the hose! Roxy had the time of her life! :) Awww…to be a puppy…

Thanks, Amy, for letting me spend some time with Roxy! She really is a cutie.
