Vanlentines Day is just around the corner – boise family photographer

Can you belive January is over and February is here. Also, can you believe it is February. I don’t know about where you all are, but if you were to look outside here in Boise Idaho you would think it was April.

Today we did a quick Valentine shoot, I don’t want to spoil the surprise of the girls valentine cards, so I will only post this teaser…

I love this little guy! :) I took baby Carson’s newborn photos. I was very excited his mom wanted to do more photos! I have the best job as a Boise family photographer, because I get to see cuties like Carson grow up! :)

Because it is cold outside, I invited them over to our NEW HOUSE! (thats right, Seth and I are homeowners now, but more on that at a later date) One thing I love about the house is that I have my own studio / viewing room! I think Little Carson approves! :)

I love closeups of little guys.

Of course we did some awesome family photos as well! :)

I love how he is looking up at his parents in the next one.

Extended Family Photos – boise family photographer

I LOVE this family! They had me laughing the whole time! I was asked to do an extended family photo. As a Boise family photographer, I typically take photos of families that consist of a mom and a dad and maybe 2-3 children. I was so excited to take these photos! Mom and Dad, with their grown children and spouses. At first I was alittle nervous. I dont LOVE being bossy, but with this may people you have too…But I quickly learned this family was ready to do what I asked and quick to help in anyway needed! :) I Think this photo will look great on the top of a fireplace mantel! :)

This is the real live Brady bunch. All the boys are the son’s of the dad, and all the girls are the daughters of the mom. Recently Mom and Dad got married and now they are all one big happy family!!!

And of corse Idid some breakdowns of the family too.

Im really happy to be working with this family again soon for a wedding! One of the daughters is going to be a BEAUTIFUL bride! ;)

Thanks for letting me take your photos and for being an awesome family that really knows how to have a little fun! :) Cant wait to work with you all agian! :)

Liz Graduates BSU! – Boise Graduation Photographer

I love my job as a Boise photographer. I love it for many reasons, but two of them are: 1. I LOVE forming friendships with my clients and becoming a part of their lives, and 2. I love capturing emotion and creating memories for others.

This session has both.

You may remember Liz and Anthony from their engagements, or their wedding photos. Well they are back, and this time Liz is graduating college! She has worked a long time for this, and has finally done it…And not only did she graduate, but she landed an awesome job!!! :) GO LIZ!!!!!

Here are a few glimpses into that special day.

Liz did not get a class ring when she graduated high shcool, instead she got a special ring from her mom and was told when she graduated college she would get the other half! How cool is that! :) Liz recently suffered the loss of her Grandpa, a very special man to the whole family. During graduation she carried one of his hankies with her. I love this family.

Lisa and Cody are expecting #2 – Payette Maternity photographer

Lisa and Cody are good friends of mine. You may remember seeing them on the blog before here and here. They have one amazing daughter around my sons age. Now they are expecting another daughter! After an interesting time getting maternity photos at a studio in the mall they decided to get more casual fun photos for their second maternity session. We wanted to make sure to incorporate there daughter into the photos as much as possible and Lisa had some great ideas to do so. Seriously! How cute is Jessa!!! she is going to be a GREAT big sister.

I think this is awesome for so many reasons. Look at little Jessa’s face! Lisa looks wonderful and so happy and Cody is content. Plus you can see the chalk dust on the ground! I love that too! Also this was right before we had an interesting visitor..so that memory makes me smile too! :) I cnat wait to meet your new little one!!! :)

The Schnackenberg Family – boise family photographer

I have known Stefanie for a long time…we went to collage together and have stayed friends throughout the years. She married a man from Montana, who’s sister also went to collage with us. They now have a cute little boy that is a year younger (but the same size) as my little man. Recently I got to take some family photos of them. We went to Ann Morison park, a great place for family photos with small kids because there is lots to keep them occupied…like a playground…just in case the photog is running late Later I was remended of somthing I had forgotten…Scott and Stefanie were married there! Shaun and Dolly – Boise Family photographer

I love the mountains. I love to travel. I love hanging out with awesome people. I love Dogs. This photo shoot had all of that! Meet Dolly, Shaun, Panda, and Shelly.

I first met Shaun and Dolly at a wedding where they were bridesmaids and groomsmen. Later they came in to Kyoto with the Bride and groom form that wedding, who also happen to be my friends (hi Cassie and KJ!) When Dolly mentioned she wanted to get family photos by me I was ecstatic…these two are so cute together…they are made for each other! :)

I love seeing couples that have been married for a wile and through crazy things in life still in love! :) These two have what it takes to last a life time!

Oh….I forgot to mention that these photos were taken in the beautiful Cascade Idaho, where Shaun and Dolly are making a new home for themselves. Now, Here is a slideshow with all the photos from their session.

Meet Baby Van – boise newborn photographer

I recently got to meet baby Van. He is ADORABLE! He was like a dream baby for me. He slept well and was an excellent poser. The family booked me for newborn photos after wining a session with me in an auction for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I LOVE these parent photos:

Newborns are tricky. Sometimes when you pose them they need alittle comfort to stay in the pose. When you are looking for a Boise Newborn Photographer, make sure it is someone who can pay attention to the in between times too. Dad leaned down to kiss his son while comforting him and waiting for him to settle in to position for the pose. The following picture is the result and one of my favorites! :) And as always, baby’s safety always comes first so he is being held low and there is a beanbag below him.

One of the advantages to being a traveling Boise newborn photographer is that I get to see and utilize things from the clients home. This table was built by Mom’s dad. He modeled it after some tables he saw in a ski lodge. How awesome is that! :)

Meet Baby Carson

I love taking newborn photos! I love snuggling the baby, and providing the mom and dad with great shots of their new bundle of joy. I love it even more when the parents are my friends! ;) Little Baby Carson is going to be a lucky kid. I have the pleasure of knowing not only his Mom and Dad, but some of his Uncles, Aunts, and Grandparents as well! I know he will be a well loved baby…and probably a little spoiled! :) Little Carson got these cute hats at his mama’s baby shower. If you like this cute little turtle hat and the black hat you should check out The lady who made them’s Etsy store. (She is also a friend of mine and very talented.)The happy Family! I Love baby feet! ;)
