We are back!

September 27, 2009

We are back, and our family vacation/camping trip turned in to a non camping, but still awesome trip.  We got to hang out with this cool family.

weareback-4

We went to Enterprise Oregon to visit some great friends.  Seth went to high school with the dad, and they also played in a band together.  Im told they were good, but I do not like screamo music, so I have no idea if they were or not.  :)  I do, however, know that both Seth and Eric are talented musicians, so they probably were not to bad!  :)  While the boys played, Mary and I cooked some delicious food…let me tell you, this family can not go hungry with her around.  YUM YUM!!!  And she loves doing it too!  She had these really cool cookbooks that told you EVERYTHING you need to know about baking.  (by the way, Mary, I need that flatbread recipe!)  The great thing about Enterprise, besides being the perfect sized town to raise a family, is the easy access to nature!  Check out this view!

Where there is water and McFarlands, there is a dog swimming, and begging you to throw sticks

And an Eman running away from the water!  :)

Most of all, we just hung out and had a good time!

After our trip to Enterprise, we went to Bend Oregon/Redmond Oregon to visit Seth’s parents.  It was great to see them.  Seth’s mom got the day off so we did some hiking.

3 years ago…My wedding anny

September 9, 2009

3 years ago I looked like this…DSC_1115

…as I was anxiously awaiting to marry the man of my dreams, Seth McFarland.

and let me tell you girls, I am a lucky woman.  I mean, just look at him…

Over the years, we have been through a lot, but one thing I can always count on is that he will be  there for me, able to calm me down in a way only he can.  I dont know what my life would be like with out him. He is passionate, and sarcastic, he makes me laugh, and he genuinely cares about life.

This will be the first year that we are actually able to celebrate our anny, due to medical emergencies, and I am excited!  We even got a babysitter!  :)

And…He let me get married in my swimsuit!  :)  What more could a girl ask for!?! :)

Thanks to Josephine and Katie for taking these shots.  And thanks to everyone who made our wedding day special.

Seth~ thanks for being my husband.  I can not wait to spend the rest of my life with you.

Jayme and Robert have tied the knot.  They got married this Saturday at the Christ’s Church, the little chapel off of the BSU campus.  Their wedding was beautiful, and the bride was like a model!  She knew how to pose and was very photogenic, making my job a little easier!  :)

I was suppose to meet Jayme and her mom (who was also the made of honor) at the hotel for makeup, and preparation.  Imagine my surprise when Jayme’s dad answered the door, and Jayme was not there yet!  I was not sure if I was at the right door or not! :)  Soon Jayme arrived, and we got down to business.jandr-1

As you can see she is a gorgeous bride…and she has great taste in shoes!jandr-10

Robert had his son be the Best man, and he was one of the cutest best men I have seen!  :)

And now the bride and groom!jandr-5

When Jayme and I met to discuss what she wanted from a wedding photographer, she mentioned she liked the selective color photos…I think this one is great, and very dramatic!

R-man and J-man were very happy to be cousins…and I think grandma was excited too…jandr-6

Now off to the reception.  The reception was held at River Rock Alehouse, which created a fun laid back atmosphere, and provided LOTS of delicious food to eat! And a cake by Heather!

The night ended with lots of fun and dancing.jandr-13

I must say, even though there was a lot of dancing, no one could quite move as well as J-man!  He defiantly knew how to get his grove on, complete with the robot, and MJ moves!  :)     jandr-15

Jayme and Robert~ Thanks for letting me take part in your beautiful day.  I hope you have many years of happiness together, and will treasure the memories made at your wedding forever.

Kayjah is a very cute girl that will be turning 5 soon!  her mom and I work together at Kyoto Japanese Restaurant (with the best sushi in town.) I have watched her grow up over the last 4 years, and she is becoming quite the little lady.  I will be taking lost of photos at her BIG birthday blowout, but her mom wanted me to take a few portraits so she could make the invites.

This was the shortest photo shoot I have ever done, we were in and out in 15 minutes, and even stopped to see some deer!  :)

Catching up…

September 1, 2009

I’m back from Montana, and gearing up to take some great portraits and a couple weddings, but first I want to tell you about the last couple of weeks.  The fair was in town…it just left, actually.  And I am very happy it is over.  We live close enough to the fair grounds that I can hear it…and it is noisy, and it smells like B.O.  It is not the livestock that bothers me.  I was a 4-H kid, so I know a little about the fair, but this is not your average fair…it is overcrowded and understaffed.  (ok, so maybe that is average!)  Am I the only one, or when you are in a large group standing in a line, feel a little like cattle being herded down the shoot to get branded, or worse castrated?  Cuz that is what I felt like at the fair!  I think my nervousness and annoyance rubbed off on E-man a little, because the only thing he really liked was a pony ride he got to go on, and a sheep…that he made out with!

catching up-10

He is like his mom, he is a free spirit and loves to run…

catching up-8

He is actually chasing geese, I have tried to explain to him why ducks are better, but its always the geese he runs after.  Edgar, of course, was close behind to protect him from any danger!  :)

I also got my new sample books in, and they look great!

catching up-9

If you are interested in ordering one, Let me know and I will be sure to tell you all the info.  And if you happen to see your name on one of the albums, I will be giving you the album in about a year when I update my samples again! :)

And last…here is a little preview of what is to come…

catching up-6

So thats what has been going on around here.  What have you been up to?  I hope you all have a great day!
