As some of you may know, I recently went “home” to Montana to visit my family.  It was a great time, my brother had just gotten home form Iraq, and I was mainly going to see him.  I love my brother!  My sister was home from her summer of camp teams, and my other brother came home to visit as well.  My parents, now empty nesters, must have been overwhelmed with all of us descending upon their newly remodeled house at once!  :)

While I was there, I made it a point to visit my Grandmother.  She lives 4 hours from my parents, on a little ranch.  I LOVE my grandparents.  When I think of Montana, I think of their house!  Now, she is moving in to town, so my dad asked me to make an album for her of the house and land.  There are a lot of memories here, and I thought I would share some with you.

This picture of the house was taken form a little plank that lays across the creek as a bridge.  When I was about 5 or 6 the neighbors’ dog was playing with me down in the pasture, and pushed me in the creek, off the “bridge.”  I remember being very sad about it and crying, but not because I was hurt, but because my new cowboy boots were dirty!  :)

My Grandmother loves flowers.  I think she knows the name of every wild flower in the world, or at least knows were to find the name (with out using google)!  :)

This next layout is my favorite because I love sun flare, and because nothing says grandmother and granddad’s like beautiful sunsets, views of the mountains, and a dirt road to lead you to your next adventure!

Many times through out my childhood, my heart skipped a beat at this view.  It meant we were THERE!  We were someplace magical, with people that loved us!

Not long ago, Seth came home with the “Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castle soap.”  Just the smell of it makes me think of my grandparents, so I had to include it in the album.

I hope you enjoyed a glimpse into my childhood!  I don’t know what the future holds for my grandmother, or the land, but I do know that this house will always hold a special place in my heart.

Normally I am a Boise senior photographer, but  I love to travel, and was visiting Montana to see my brother who recently got back from Iraq.  While I was there, I got to take some photos!

My earliest memory of  Keidre Shaw is riding on a church van with her to Colorado.  She was about 6 and I was 15.  She was copying my every move, and me (along with her Uncle) listening to the Vegi-Tales song “Where is my Hairbrush” repeatedly.  Now she is graduating from high school, proving my oldness!

This senior session was done over the course of 2 days due to rain!  And just a reminder, this Boise senior photographer is still looking for some senior models which you can find out more information about here.

I am in my hometown in Montana, visiting my family and my brother that just got home from Iraq!  My sister asked if I could take some pictures of her friends for her to decorate her dorm room with.   Last year she had a lot of empty picture frames, but after this adventure, I don’t think she will have that problem.  My sister is a little crazy, and like me, would never turn down a dare, so I knew if anyone would be up for a trash the dress session, she would.  Normally these sessions are done with brides after the wedding day, but because none of these girls are married we did it with formals, all purchased at Goodwill for less than $15!

Meet Sharla, my sister…hang on guys she is single and easily the nicest, genuine Christian girl you will meet.  Not to mention, you will get an abb workout from all the  laughing if you are around her!mud7

Meet Kirsten, my neighbor that I have known almost all her life, and I must say…WOW!  She has grown up in to a beautiful person!mud13

And Tynagh, who loves animals and can convince anyone she knows to give her a piggyback ride.mud6

Together these girls are three peas in a pod, and ready for anything!mud2

We also had a young man named Sterling join us, and we are glad he did.  We had told him what we were going to do and he said, “I want to come!”  We thought he was joking, but he showed up, and I’m pretty sure he thought we were crazy!  :) mud3

Now,  I live by the river, and almost always put on a long sleeve shirt around dusk because of mosquitoes.  I’m not sure why we did not think of it, but as a facebook update put it this morning “229 mosquito bites later I finally found something I’m allergic to…”  and that 229 is NO exaggeration!  I have a mosquito bite in between my toes, and everywhere else!  It was crazy, in fact if you look closely, you can see some mosquitoes on the girls!  They were such troopers, and when you get pictures like these it just might be worth it!mud12

I don’t know about you guys, but I think there are some possible modeling careers in the works for these girls…mud4

Thanks girls, and Sterling!  you guys rock and I am glad you had fun, despite being a buffet for mosquitoes!mud1

If any Boise brides, or friends want pictures like this, let me know!  And to all my Montana readers, I WILL travel!  :)
