I grew up around animals.  All kinds.  From the tigers at Zoo Montana, to horses, to cats and dogs, to ferrets, I’ve seen them all.  I love them all too!  In fact, a lot of the people in my life, probably thought I would grow up to work with animals, either as a veterinarian or a zoologist.  Now, as a Boise pet photographer, I am working with animals!  I love to photograph pets, as well as their human friends.  I understand how important our pets are in our lives.  I could not imagine my house without Edgar (our Lab mix)!

Who does not love puppies?  This little girl was full of energy and fun to photograph!  When I arrived at the Young’s house, Roxy eagerly greeted me with kisses galore, and tried to get a ride on my shoulders!  I was in love, but how could you not be with this face looking at you?

Most of the time she was a great model, but sometimes she tried to hide in the grass.  :)

Roxy loves her treats!  Look at her tongue!

Then mommy turned on the hose!  Roxy had the time of her life!  :)  Awww…to be a puppy…

Thanks, Amy, for letting me spend some time with Roxy!  She really is a cutie.

As you know I live in Boise Idaho.  Actually, I live in Garden City, in a modest house next to the river.  Its the RIVER part that made me want to live there.  Recently, I posted on facebook that I saw a family of raccoons while taking a walk.  A dear friend of mine told me that I was weird for noticing!  :)  I dont know why I am perceptive, and notice little things, but I do, and I dont think its weird.  I think its great!  We live in a very fast tracked world, and a NOW society.  I think My life would be dull and meaningless if I did not take the time to STOP and notice God’s creation all around me!  I am so grateful that God gave me the skills to not only notice what to others is unnoticeable, but to be able to photograph them and share them with my friends.

Here is just a little of the beauty I get to see every time I open my front door!  :)

Today, stop and notice something around you that may be there everyday, and if you can take a picture of it and share it!  I would love to see it!  :)

This last Saturday was the Boise Jamba Juice Grand opening for their new store.   I was not busy being Boise’s favorite wedding photographer, so  I went to the opening with my son Elijah! :)  It was GREAT FUN!

As some of you may know, I grew up in Montana, where every town is a small town!  :)  We did not have luxuries like Jamba Juice there.  Around my junior year we did get a Junga Juice (different from Jamba), but is has since gone.  When I came to college, I got to experience Jamba, and Im glad I did!  Some good friends of mine and I use to roller blade to the Jamba Juice on Milwaukee (also gone), and get our favorites.  Will a Razzmatazz, and me an Orange Berry Blitz.  We marked it on our calendars when the Power size and the sixteen oz. size came out!  In fact I still remember that the sixteen oz. debut on October 16th!

Now, Jamba juice still plays an important part in my life today.  Many Photographers have superstitions and always eat the same breakfast before a shoot, or always wear the same shoes, etc.  I go to …you guessed it…Jamba Juice to celebrate after finishing up at a wedding or chasing your little ones all over the place trying them to hold still long enough for me to take a picture!  and now with the new location I can go after EVERY shoot, not just occasionally, it is my new “superstition!” :) What can I say I love my Jamba!

So, if you are on Eagle road, be sure to stop in and get a Jamba Juice at the new store.  Its on Eagle and McMillian connected to the Albertsons there!  And of course you can still get your Jamba on at the Edwards 21 Cinema location.

Now for a picture of my son enjoying a tasty treat at the grand opening(did you really expect me to NOT have a photo? What can I say, Im a photographer!)
