Yesterday was a fun day!  One of my best friends and I traveled to Payette Idaho to visit some other friends and take their pictures.  Payette is about an hour away from Boise and barely within my “I will still travel there with out any extra travel expenses” radius.  I had never really been there, but like what I see.  The town has some cool old buildings, and several textures to work with.

We got there at 10:30 to attend church with the Stauffer family.  Cody is the preacher at the Payette Christian Church, and also writes an interesting blog you may want to check out HERE.  Then we went to lunch at a cool local mexican restaurant, and had planed on taking pictures right after lunch.  Jessalynn, the one year old, had a different idea, however!

One of many things the Stauffer Family and my family have in common is the love for good television.  So while Jessa took her much needed nap, we all enjoyed 2 past episodes of THE OFFICE they had on the TiVo.  That show is one of my favorites, but LOST is still the absolute favorite!  Unfortunately, Cody and Lisa are behind in episodes of LOST, so we could not have many “what in the world is happening” discussions!  :-)

After THE OFFICE  episodes we decided to wake up the sleeping baby.  So between her being cranky form being woken up, and being sick with a cold, this photo shoot was a little more challenging than usual.  I still got some great images though!  And because I am taking care of my own sick baby, so this is a limited preview.  There is more goodness to come on your online gallery!

Thanks for the fun day Stauffer family, enjoy!

Happy Earth day Everyone!  To celebrate earth day E-man and I rode our bikes to the park and met Paula and her two babies there.  Paula’s older son, Marty, is around E-mans age, so they played and got good and tired, then we headed back to Paula’s house for a newborn shoot.  Her in a car, and me on my bike (good thing they do not live far!)

When he got to her house, the boys were asleep, so we took some great pictures, unfortunately, my son did not sleep long.  Now I know why I don’t take him with me on photo shoots!!!  As much as I love him, he was making things very difficult!  He made a huge mess of Paula’s living room while I, as she so lovingly put it, “played Barbie” with her little girl.  Don’t worry, I cleaned up the mess…because, and this is an important lesson for Earth Day, “You should always leave things as you found them.”

And now…I give you…Baby Madeline!

Baby Shower!

April 21, 2009

This sunday was a very busy day for me, you will be seeing why in the next couple days, but for now, I have baby shower pictures. My [almost] two year old son was helping me take photos, so bear with the randomness you are about to see.

The baby shower was John Deere themed…which I LOVE!
(I actually have John Deere dishes and a cookie jar, and when we build a house, I will have a John Deere kitchen! Even though my husband thinks it will conspicuously look like an Oregon Ducks kitchen, which he says is NOT allowed. )

There were yellow and green balloons everywhere…

In honor of John Deere and Emily’s Baby shower I changed the colors of my logo!!

Emily’s family all got together to get her a stroller/car-seat combo!  That WILL come in useful!!!

There were lots of yummy treats to eat.

There are already some pretty cute babies in this family.   This little guy is Emily’s cousin, and he shares a name with my son.

Meanwhile, I will be away from the office most of the rest of this week, because we have a TON of work to do, and by work I mean rock to move in order to get the ground ready for potatoes on Good Friday!  We will also be planting Red, and green peppers, onions, edamame, lettuce, carrots, garlic, broccoli, eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash, spinach, and probably some other things I am forgetting!  Seth’s goal is to not go grocery shopping for a whole MONTH!  I think we can do it!  if you want to follow his progress with the garden check out his blog!

As you can see in this next picture, we still have a lot of work to do!!!
